One of our favourite cultural shows is the Ohelai Beach show at the Eastern side of the main island. After navigating our way down the stairs it comes out onto a large sandy beach which is very rare for Tonga. The food is always great and the entertainment both before and after the show in the cave is great. It is a family/village run show and everyone loves it.
Lyndon and the kids playing with a rocket on the open beach before dinner. Trying not to hit the other guests as they walk down to the seats at the waters edge.
Our crowd was spread over two tables.
The Quirke tribe in the love cave. Hard with kids arround too.
Some new additions to the cave since our last visit.
A little different a capiscum instead of an apple.
After dinner we moved into the cave for the show. Front row seats.
The boys are from the local village with the exception of a few Nuian boys.
Faka pale for the dancers from Lyndon and Emily.
The Boss was away but his son did a great job and threw in a few of the same "one liners' as his dad.
One dance you never want to mess up.
This one too. Jodie has the camera here.
The fire dance gets better every time we visit.
This one had the kids stumped. How does the sand light up?
Jodie all smiles with the fire dancing boys.
