Wow a fishing entry nearly slipped through the cracks but here it is a little late. We had our monthly fishing comp for August and finally both Lano and I were in town so we booked in for the comp, just the 3 of us Lano, Dyl and I.We were out to show Lano how well BLAH BLAH can be fished. The seas weren't the most comfortable but Dyl managed to have a little nap as he does. He has a theory, the fish can see him relaxing so that is when they strike.
First strike was a decent run so we put Lano on who caught his first decent fish in BLAH BLAH and everyone was all smiles from there on.
After a few nice Doggies for Lano and I, Dylan stepped up and called dibs on the big 24kg rod and instantly she began to scream. After a good half hour fight he had the best Doggie of the day.
After a 20+min fight Lano was all smiles with his next Wahoo but unable to lift it for a photo.
After a great days fishing the mighty BLAH BLAH returned us safely to the dock.
Once along side we found out why he couldn't lift it in the boat. The monster Wahoo weighed in at 32.84kg and took out the Snr section.
Dyls Dog tooth tuna came in at 12.04kgs and has now taken out his second TIGFA National record for the Jr section. He also won the Jr section and came in second behind Lano overall.
Not a bad haul for the day with over 60kgs of good quality eating fish.
Dylan is quickly becoming Tony's best customer at presentation days.
With our efforts BLAH BLAH took out best boat.
After a few beers and a lot of filleting, this was our cut of the days takings. A heap went straight on the BBQ at the fishing club for everyone to enjoy.
Now that's how you fish out of BLAH BLAH Lano.
