Last day at Pangaimotu

What a sad day indeed. We spent so many Sundays (and other week days for that matter) at this great spot and it will be hard to top it back in Oz. Another great place with so many wonderful memories with so many fabulous people over the years. Everyone who has a visitor to Tonga brings them over to Pangai to just laze the day away with a few quiet drinkies and lap up some beautiful sunshine.

Thanks big Mama for the memories

The deck is slowly being rebuilt after being taken out in a cyclone

Views to the right of us

Views to the left (with Blah Blah of course)

The kids favourite thing about Pangai is jumping off the wreck. Lyndon is the biggest kid of all doing a backflip here with Finau while the other kids look on

The view from the other side of the wreck

All 4 of us jumping in at once, although the kids went early and you can't really see them in Lyndons splash. I am not a fan but due to peer pressure I finally gave in. I jumped 3 times, once for each year we were here, and that was more than enough!

Here is a video of the action

Behind the kids is another wreck under the water where Dylan and his friends spent many hours trying to catch the little fish swimming around

Another favourite is this tree swing out into the water

A very familiar sight, with the shore of Tongatapu in the background. There are literally hundreds of shots like this from over the 3 years with all of our friends. This time it is Rochelle and I.

A "selfie" during the day, us with Sal and Rochelle.

Lyndon and Sal still haven't learnt the lesson of not sitting under a coconut tree. They are not concerned that falling coconuts can kill.

Its about 5pm now and the sun is starting to set on our last day at Pangai

So farewell Pangai....until we come back to visit
