School holidays Week 1

Oh what to do with your kids on the school holidays?? Throw them together with a bunch of other kids and you have school activity fun. Hannah and I had a day each where we had all the kids over for the day to keep them busy. Unfortunately we didn't get any photos at Hannah's but the kids made puppets, did an obstacle course, swimming and cup cake making. Our house lady Maria joined us for the day at my place and taught the girls how to weave an anklet with shells, we made easter egg baskets and hanging lanterns, and the boys just swam, played footy and hang out away from all the girls.

I made this skirt with shells for one of Emily's dolls.

Weaving time, it turned out a tad more difficult to explain than Maria had anticipated so all the girls started the anklet off and then left poor Maria to finish them all. Lucky she has had lots of practice and it only took her 30 minutes to do 5 of them.
