Breast Cancer Walk

This was the last event for the Quirke's on the October, Breast Cancer calender. It has made for an exciting October and seen plenty of pink. We also hope that it has done the job here in Tonga and raised its awareness. As usual the walk started in true Tongan style, a prayer, speeches and a group warm up. Our walk was done to the beat of a brass band, which turned out to be our local high school and now explains all the practice night and day. Of coarse there was the police escort not that you could miss us in all our pink. After a 2km walk through town we ended back in the same park behind the King's church. After a snappy warm down, sausage sizzle and some songs we were as Em said 'Done and Dusted" This indicated to Jodie and Rochelle that it was time to hit the Flea marketi in all our colour. So we loaded up the kids in the tray and headed out for a shop. Who knows the next big Melbourne Cup outfit could have been waiting for the girls to discover? Ahh but no luck but heaps of other goodies were discovered its amazing what you can find at these markets and the prices are crazy low.

The standard Banner (Love your health) but this was actually after the event and she was an amazing singer too. (What else would you expect)

Jodie warming up like a good girl.

Emily and Alice powering out in front with the Noble to their left, in tights.

Yvanne and the boys from Chatham's airlines cooking up the snags.

The girls with their treasures, Dad scored some new roller blades though $25 Pa'anga ($15 Aust)
