USA - Universal Studios

From our hotel in Hollywood we caught the train to Universal Studios for the day. We had fantastic weather and a great day doing all of the shows and rides. Heaps to see and do, and as usual we all had our favourite part of the day. We had to leave at 6pm (closing is usually 9pm) because they were having the annual Bob Hope Foundation Charity Gala that night. We then spent the next 2 hours wondering around Universal Studio Blvd having a good look at all the shops and restaurants.

Welcome to Hollywood and Universal Studios

The huge staircase down to the back lot where movies are made.

The Simpsons ride was Jodie's favourite, managed to get in 3 times in a row.

Kids loved the animals of the movies show, but Dylan was disappointed that Transformers was not open yet.

Off to a show and a visit to see the "Oscar"

Check out the abs' on this bloke, the Mummy was Dylan and Lyndons favourite.

A big donut for Em and a 1L big beer for Jodie.

Jurassic park was a hit with Emily and then it was off to see Jaws.

Recognise these houses? Susan, Gabbi's and Lynette's on Wisteria Lane.

Remember the old Waterworld movie - well they have turned it into a live show which was great.

Some of the beind the scene action from Fast and the Furious and the plane crash scene from the TV show Ghost Whisperer

The set of The Grinch movie, they use this area every year for the staff Christmas party.
Thousands and thousands of coloured Jelly Beans, then all the white ones went into making Marilyn Munroe.
