Eggs aint Eggs unless they're Tongan Eggs.

The weather slowed us up a little this week as we had originally planned for a second camping trip to another Is but no luck, maybe next month. The kids have finally worked out which chooks are laying, see the pic's below for results. This week we saw off the 2 I/C of the Aust High Comm - Carole with the traditional puwaka in the car park of the Australian High Comm grounds. Also Lyndon and Jodie had more functions for breast cancer month Jodie's being a lunch for TWISC and Lyndon's was a Rotary Golf day. 18 holes, handy cap umm...... I'm thinking golf. The defence team was paired up with the pro's from customs (in matching uniforms too) and I'm thinking beers and hotdogs on the first hole showed our true colours. We dragged them down to our level during the day and by the 15th hole they joined us in beers. In all a great day and we think golf was definitely the winner!

Bum nuts in all sizes. Normal, small and Tongan size. (see not everything in Tonga is BIG!)

Em's chook Blue Berry (the Tongan chook) needs two to three eggs to equal one normal one but Em loves her all the same.

Carole with her first Puwaka photo and her last in country.

The rabel on the left is the defence team and yes that is a green on the right but at least we should consider ourselves lucky to have a 9 hole golf course.

Beers and Hotdogs at the first.

Beer girls at the third. Got to love the sponsors.

There where only tallies left by the 16th.

Back at the 19th for prizes but no surprises for us.

Saturday night we were invited out to Twin Tubes's (The Bath's HHH name) house for a BBQ dinner and drinks with some other guests. It was a great little gathering kids and all. Some funny stories were told especially as the night kicked on. Sunday was a sleep in and tinkering around the house/compound but the vegie patch is going great guns now and we finally finished our Tongan coconut husker/greater. The kids used it most of Sunday to great the inside of the coconuts for the chooks but the next day they had very sore arms though, funny that.

After 41 years of marriage John still gets a hand up from his wife Margret after breaking the last of their cheap plastic chairs. The only injury was his pride but good entertainment though thanks to Margret's quick wit.
