Finally, after days of constant rain we saw a break in the weather so Jodie and I headed out for a swing with our new, Tongan purchased golf clubs. We may look the part but that is where the similarities stop. We still get our monies worth by taking heaps of shots and visiting every inch of each hole. I think it is the draw of the 19th hole that keeps us coming back?
"Yes Dear that was a great shot." Jodie's first one for the day shot straight off the Tee at No.5 out into the oncoming traffic then through the school kids.
Malo'aupito Hiro, your clubs still have some good shots left in them.
The next event for the week was Jodie's meet the blokes TWISC function. Lyndon thinks it is so they can prove we aren't just figments of each others imagination.
The brave boys that made the first TWISC function for 2012.
The beautiful women of Twisted Sister's (AKA TWISC- Tongan Womens International Social Club)
The raffle girls - Jenny, Karen and Bobbette.
Beau draws the first of three raffles.
Mal this ain't rigged is it?
L'President'ay and her other half.
That weekend the boys headed out for the fishing comp which was cancelled due to bad weather, not that the boys saw any. 12 strikes, 10 hook ups and only 2 tuna landed. Lyndon lost 3 lures and had two others destroyed by wahoo. Dylan, John and Blaise had a ball of a day. Lyndon is still whinging about the ones that got away.
If the boys go fishing the girls go a shopping and Emily has come into her own now-a-days with her bargain hunting at the marketi. She is even coming home with more dresses than mum some days.
